Choose the interface for your Configurable I/O modules and Simulink Programmable I/O modules. Extend the interface using I/O interface extensions if needed.

Find below, the I/O connectivity options you can leverage using the I/O interfaces, while preserving the fast closed-loop sample rate of your real-time application.

The I/O connectivity provided by the I/O interface and the I/O interface extension is represented by Simulink driver blocks.

I/O Interface

Select the I/O interface for your I/O module of the IO33X- and IO34X-series.

For the IO33X I/O modules, you can choose only one of the following I/O interfaces.

For the IO34X I/O modules, you may choose up to two I/O interfaces. Note, the second I/O interface option takes up an additional I/O slot in your test system.

I/O Interface Extension

Expand the capabilities of your I/O modules or the Pulse test system with I/O interface extensions. These connect via high-speed digital or Multi-Gigabit Transceiver (MGT) lines, allowing you to add extra functionality. Depending on the module or system, one or more extensions can be added.
